Lauren is owner and founder of Lost Woods Farm & Forest, a Glamping destination and eco-retreat in Northern Michigan located just minutes from Boyne Mountain Resort.

Traveling has always been a passion for Lauren after participating in a back-to-back exchange program to France as a 5th grader. From that moment she was hooked and the rest of her life truly formed around how to keep traveling and creating unique life experiences for herself. This required taking an untraditional path after college to teach English in Chile and then working as a live-in nanny for the Walgreen Family in Chicago. After meeting her husband, Jason, they embarked on a new adventure together in Australia. Two years in Adelaide, Australia at the University of South Australia and two graduate degrees later they moved back to the Windy City.

A quick dip in the marketing and business world after graduation was enough to remind her that she really needed to forge her own path and share all that she learned from her travels on a shoestring budget in South America to luxury trips while working as a nanny.

After nearly 15 years of city living it was time to make a change for her family. One week before Covid restrictions began in Chicago Lauren and Jason sold their condo in Lincoln Square and embarked on a new family adventure in Northern Michigan. A true green acres move!
